Abstract

A company's success depends heavily on human resource (HR) management, which plays a crucial role in achieving goals effectively and efficiently. Amidst global competition, HR management is a crucial aspect of business continuity. Companies demand the implementation of strategies to increase productivity and competitiveness through employee empowerment. Therefore, it is crucial to develop, maintain, and maximize employee potential. However, high workloads and disproportionate recovery can impact performance. Employee workload can be both physical and mental, influenced by the number and complexity of tasks, time pressure, and resource availability. Therefore, this study aims to determine and analyze the effect of workload on employee performance and to determine and analyze the effect of compensation on employee performance at UD Berkah Rosok, Ngrukem Village, Ponorogo Regency. This study used a quantitative approach. The sample in this study consisted of 50 permanent employees. The sampling method used was a saturated sampling technique, involving all members of the 50 population. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Squares (PLS), with validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The research results revealed that (1) workload and (2) employee performance at UD Berkah Rosok, Ngrukem Village, Ponorogo Regency, had a positive and significant influence. Keywords: Workload; Compensation; Employee Performance
