Abstract

Technological developments are driving the financial system towards cashless transactions through QRIS as a digital payment standard. However, the implementation of QRIS in Wonokromo Market is still influenced by various factors such as ease, convenience, risk, and merchants' limited knowledge of digital payments. This study aims to identify supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as analyze the influence of ease, convenience, and risk of use on merchants' interest in using digital payments at Wonokromo Market, Surabaya. The study used simple random sampling with 70 merchant respondents and was analyzed using the SEM-PLS method through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that the supporting factors include ease of application operation, practicality of QRIS use, information security, and no administrative fees. The inhibiting factors include a lack of socialization and education, the habit of using cash payments, and limited understanding of technology. In addition, ease and convenience have a positive and significant effect on interest in use, while the risk of use has a negative effect. These findings indicate that merchants' interest in using QRIS is influenced by the ease and practicality offered by this digital payment system.
