Abstract
The performance monitoring website at Pegadaian Regional Office XII Surabaya plays a crucial role in supporting evaluation activities and decision-making processes. However, the existing interface design has not yet met the needs of the staff. The suboptimal layout makes it difficult to access critical information and still requires manual coordination among staff, rendering the website less effective. A System Usability Scale (SUS) survey produced a score of 43.5, graded as F, which falls into the “unacceptable” category. This condition underscores the necessity of a redesign to create a website that is more user-friendly, informative, and capable of optimally supporting work processes. This study was conducted to redesign the website’s interface and user experience with the aim of improving usability and overall user satisfaction. The research adopted a Lean UX approach through the stages of assumption formulation, prototyping, experimentation, and feedback analysis. The participants included staff from Business Analysis & Performance Evaluation, Distribution Network & Services, and Marketing & Sales, who represent the primary users of the website. The findings indicate that the initial website design, when tested using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), obtained an average score of 1.75 out of 2.50, categorized as “Good.” The study concludes that the redesigned website successfully enhanced usability and user experience, thereby making it more effective in supporting performance monitoring and decision-making processes within Pegadaian.
