Abstract

The existence of MSMEs in contemporary society is crucial because they contribute significantly to the equitable distribution of income among individuals. This, of course, is inseparable from the process of succession and regeneration and sufficient insight for MSME resilience in the future. This study aims to examine the impact of regeneration and external knowledge on business survival, with innovation practices as a mediator. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research method used simple random sampling and probability random sampling techniques. The study population was cracker MSMEs in Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo Regency. A sample of 65 respondents was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of Partial Least Squares (PLS). The research findings indicate that regeneration and external knowledge have a direct influence on business survival. Regeneration has an influence on business survival mediated by innovation practices. External knowledge has no influence on business survival mediated by innovation practices.
