Abstract

Human resource management (HRM) is a scientific field related to employee management within an organization. One of the key factors supporting success and a key element of an organization or company is the quality of its human resources, including its workforce. All activities can run smoothly if a company has qualified employees and makes optimal management efforts to improve employee performance. This study employed a quantitative approach with non-probability sampling, specifically saturation sampling. The entire population, comprising 40 drivers and co-drivers at PT. X Surabaya, was sampled. Data collection was conducted through offline questionnaires. Data analysis and hypothesis testing employed the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS 4.0) analysis tool. This study demonstrated a significant influence between work discipline and compensation on employee performance. However, competence did not contribute significantly to employee performance. This indicates that low competence, particularly among employees, remains a major complaint, as evidenced by work behavior and unprofessional attitudes.
