Abstract

Language and speech abilities are crucial for a child's social and cognitive development. However, speech delay often poses a challenge that goes undetected early. This condition, characterized by difficulties in expression and limited vocabulary, is frequently caused by a lack of verbal stimulation from the environment, including exposure to irrelevant content, rather than solely by hearing impairments or autism. Public awareness and understanding, particularly among parents and educators, regarding the signs, causes, and the importance of early detection and intervention for speech delay, remain insufficient. This design utilizes a qualitative method. This approach focuses on in-depth understanding of social phenomena, experiences, and individual or group perspectives, rather than on numbers. Data is gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis, allowing the designer to gain new perspectives and insights on the social topic being discussed. Therefore, this campaign is designed to raise public awareness and understanding of speech delay and to encourage active stimulation of children's speech abilities. The campaign will leverage social media as the primary channel for disseminating educational content, supported by encouraging language and relevant visual media to enhance public comprehension. It's hoped that this campaign will not only motivate parents to actively stimulate their children's language development from an early age and promptly seek professional help but also create a long-term impact by fostering changes in parenting behavior and practices within the community. The ultimate goal is to ensure every child receives optimal opportunities to develop their communication and social skills. Keywords: Educational campaign, speech delay, early detection, social media.
