Abstract

Orbit Guru is a Learning Management System designed to support teaching and learning activities between students and teachers during MSIB Orbit Future Academy activities. However, in its use there are still some problems that can affect the student learning process. To overcome these problems, Orbit Future Academy does not simply improve the technical aspects of the Orbit Guru LMS system, but also needs to understand how the implementation of the system will impact and benefit students as users. The application of information technology is always related to how the technology is accepted by users. Among the various solutions that can be offered, there are several ways that can be used to measure the extent to which technology can be accepted and used by users. Organizations can evaluate user acceptance of the information technology they use. By evaluating user acceptance, Orbit Future Academy can measure how well the Orbit Guru LMS is achieving its goals so that it can be accepted by users. The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the acceptance of the Orbit Guru LMS on MSIB students using a modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The number of samples was calculated using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, resulting in a total of 308 respondents taken from MSIB Artificial Intelligence For Jobs - Batch 5 students of Orbit Future Academy. The data was then processed through SEM-PLS analysis using SPSS and SmartPLS software. The research model in this thesis refers to the research of Kusumawan and Marpanaji (2022) who added three external variables to the TAM from Davis (1989), namely e-learning self-efficacy, complexity, and motivation. Based on the results of hypothesis testing from this thesis, it shows that the variables of complexity, motivation and perceived ease of use affect perceived usefulness. The variables of e-learning self-efficacy, complexity, and motivation affect the perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use variables affect behavioral intention to use. And the behavioral intention to use variable affects the actual technology to use. While the e-learning self-efficacy variable has no effect on perceived usefulness, but has an indirect effect on perceived usefulness through the intermediary variable perceived ease of use. From the evaluation results, Orbit Future Academy can make improvements and improvements to the Orbit Guru LMS system.
