Abstract

The city of Madiun, known as the "City of Warriors", is rich in historical and cultural heritage. This documentary video tells the inspiring story of the Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) in Madiun City, one of Indonesia's traditional martial arts schools which is famous as an intangible cultural heritage of the Indonesian world. This documentary invites the audience, especially millennials aged 17-25 years as the main target to achieve effectiveness in conveying the message of preservation and improving the image of martial arts to explore the social and cultural potential of PSHT Madiun City, including preservation, organizational background, achievements, properties , training methods, spiritual values, social impact, and the beauty of pencak silat movements. Through in-depth interviews with PSHT officials, Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) residents and the community. This documentary aims to improve society's unfavorable view of pencak silat. The method used is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and questionnaires. The results of the analysis show that documentary video media is very suitable for visualizing knowledge and preserving pencak silat as a cultural heritage. The stages of making a documentary include pre-production, production and post-production, with a focus on determining the concept, taking interviews and pictures, as well as editing and publication. This documentary not only provides knowledge, but also strengthens a sense of cultural identity and increases awareness of the importance of maintaining sustainability and improving society's view of pencak silat. Thus, documentary videos"Wangine Kembang Terate: Preserving the Art of Pencak Silat in the Grasp of the Terate Faithful Heart Brotherhood" It is hoped that it can be an effective means of increasing the image of the community's values and interest in preserving Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT).
