Abstract
ANALYSIS OF COMPETENCE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE WITH ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AS AN INTERVENING VARIABLE (Study at the Office of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of East Java Province) RINA FARIYANI NPM : 20061020031 ABSTRACT Employee performance is the result or performance of employees who are assessed in terms of quality and commitment based on work standards determined by the organization or company. This study aims to: 1) determine the effect of competence on employee performance, 2) determine the effect of the work environment on employee performance, 3) determine the effect of competence through organizational commitment on employee performance, 4) determine the effect of the work environment through organizational commitment on employee performance. The object of this study were 91 ASN employees at the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office of East Java Province. Data analysis technique uses Partial Least Square (PLS). From the results of data analysis it can be concluded that: 1) good employee competence can improve employee performance, 2) a good work environment can improve employee performance, 3) organizational commitment contributes to mediating the relationship between competency and employee performance, and 4) organizational commitment contributes to mediating the relationship between work environment and employee performance.
