Abstract
Bartering is an activity where people exchange goods with each other to acquire the items they desire. However, conducting bartering without the intervention of information technology advancements can be challenging for communities in searching and executing barter transactions. Hence, an Android-based Barter E-commerce Mobile Application was designed and developed using the Ionic Framework, React JS, and Firebase. The Android-based Barter E-commerce Mobile Application was designed using the Spiral Model, comprising five stages: Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction, and Deployment. This research has resulted in a functional Barter E-commerce Mobile Application that has been tested using Black Box techniques. Currently, the application has undergone four improvement iterations after completing five cycles and can be further developed.
