Abstract
The issue of the 11% VAT increase was widely discussed by the public on April 1 2022 where on Twitter, the keyword PPN 11% became one of the trending topics. The purpose of this research is to find out how the communication network is mapped and the direction of opinion that occurs from the 11% increase in VAT communication network that occurred on April 1-20 2022 on Twitter. The presence of social media in the midst of society allows people to be more flexible in giving their opinions regarding issues that are currently being talked about by the general public. This research is a communication network research with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out by crawling using Netlytic software which was then analyzed in more depth using Gephi. Based on the analysis using the multilevel analysis technique that has been carried out, namely by analyzing media content, behavior analysis and network analysis, it was found that three actors have a large influence in this network, namely the accounts @alindardiantoro, @fullmoonfolks and @pretcieux. In addition, the sentiments that appear tend to be neutral, but there is a very big difference between rejecting and supporting sentiments. Within this network there are 4 major groups formed where each group has its own view or side regarding the issue of VAT increases.
