Abstract
The demands of the globalization era and the role of ICT encourage educational institutions providing interactive learning tools and ICT-based institutional management. UPN Jatim is working on improving e-learning technology as a step towards implementing Massive Open Online Courses and creating an integrated system. The aim of this study is to determine the current capability level, the gap between the current capability level (as-is) and the expected level (to be) that will be used to identify areas where improvements can be made, based on the COBIT 5 standard for managing information systems related to e-learning. This study followed the stages of the COBIT 5 process assessment activities with the measured domains, which are EDM04 Ensure resource optimisation, APO03 Manage enterprise architecture, and BAI02 Manage requirement definition. According to the findings of the analysis, EDM04 is currently performing at level 1 (Performed), and it has a gap of 1 level from the expected capability level. On the other hand, APO03 and BAI02 are currently at level 0 (Incomplete), with a gap of 2 levels. In response to these findings, recommendations for improvement are proposed to achieve the expected level of capability. Level 1 recommendations are arranged based on base practice and work product, while level 2 recommendations are based on generic practice and generic work product.
