Abstract

PT. Tjakrindo Mas Gresik is a manufacturing company based on in Indonesia that strives to provide satisfaction to customers by high quality product. Performance is a top priority in research, this is because there are still problems. The aims of this research are 1.) To knowing the effect of the work environment on the performance of employees in the production department at PT. Tjakrindo Mas Gresik. 2.) To determine the effect of competence on the performance of employees in the production department at PT. Tjakrindo Mas Gresik. The data used is primary data, namely the data collected through a questionnaire distributed to employees of the production division of PT. Tjakrindo Mas Gresik, totaling 53 employees and the sample used is 53 respondents. The measurement scale used is the Likert scale. Technique sampling using saturated sampling technique. While analysis used is Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the results of research that has been done: 1.) Work environment can contribute to employee performance. 2.) Competence can contribute on employee performance.
