Abstract

The frozen shrimp processing industry faces increasing pressure to implement Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices to improve environmental sustainability while maintaining operational efficiency. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) in the frozen shrimp processing activities at CV Kudatama Mas using the Fuzzy Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (Fuzzy DEMATEL) approach. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method involving five experts with direct knowledge and involvement in the company's supply chain activities. The Fuzzy DEMATEL method was applied to analyze the causal relationships among GSCM criteria through linguistic scale conversion into Triangular Fuzzy Numbers (TFN), direct-relation matrix normalization, total relation matrix construction, defuzzification, and prominence (D+R) and relation (D−R) analysis. The results indicate that Senior Management Commitment (C1) is the most influential criterion, with a prominence value of 8.524 and a positive relation value of 0.672, indicating that it is the primary driving (cause) factor in GSCM implementation. In contrast, Waste Management (C13) has a relation value of −0.514, classifying it as an effect factor. The findings suggest that improving GSCM implementation should prioritize strengthening senior management commitment, supported by environmental compliance, employee training, and supplier collaboration to establish a more sustainable supply chain. The Fuzzy DEMATEL approach provides a systematic analytical framework for identifying priority factors and formulating strategic recommendations to improve Green Supply Chain Management implementation in the frozen shrimp processing industry.
