Abstract
Abstract Robusta coffee is a leading commodity in Tutur District, Pasuruan Regency, contributing to the local economy, partly through the processing activities carried out by CV Kopi Citarasa Persada. Limitations in processing technology, processing capacity, and the utilization of digital marketing faced by the company present an opportunity to improve the performance of the robusta coffee value chain through upgrading strategies. This study aims to analyze the robusta coffee value chain and the effect of process upgrading, product upgrading, functional upgrading, and channel upgrading on value chain performance at CV Kopi Citarasa Persada. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 45 respondents consisting of farmers, processing staff, and distributors using the census method, then analyzed using SEM-PLS with WarpPLS 8.0. The results show that the robusta coffee value chain involves farmers, CV Kopi Citarasa Persada as the processor, distributors, and consumers, with two marketing channels, namely direct sales to consumers and sales through distributors. All upgrading variables have a positive and significant effect on value chain performance, with an R-Square value of 0.659 (moderate category), where product upgrading is the most dominant variable (β = 0.376; p = 0.003), followed by channel upgrading, functional upgrading, and process upgrading. These findings indicate that the implementation of upgrading strategies can improve the performance of the robusta coffee value chain at CV Kopi Citarasa Persada. Keywords: Value chain; Upgrading; Robusta Coffee; SEM-PLS.
