Abstract

Internship (Praktek Kerja Lapangan/PKL) is a compulsory academic activity that enables students to apply theoretical knowledge in a real working environment. During this internship, students from the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur participated in the development of a web-based information system for LAB INSYDE. The laboratory faced challenges in managing services, information, and digital assets due to the absence of an integrated information system, resulting in inefficient workflows and difficulties in information dissemination. To address these issues, a web-based information system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, which consists of the communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment phases. The system was built using Laravel as the backend framework, Bootstrap for the user interface, and Filament as the administration panel. The developed features include laboratory profile management, service registration, product catalogs, news publication, contact information, social media integration, and multilingual support. System testing was conducted using the Blackbox Testing method to evaluate functional requirements from the user perspective. The results indicate that all system features functioned properly according to the specified requirements. In addition, supporting documentation, including a user manual and laboratory asset documentation, was prepared to ensure system sustainability and ease of use. The developed system is expected to improve service quality, information transparency, and operational efficiency within LAB INSYDE while providing valuable practical experience in software development and project management for students.
