Abstract
Sidoarjo Regency has significant potential for developing the creative economy, supported by a large productive-age population and the growth of various creative communities. However, there is currently no integrated facility that accommodates creative activities, collaboration, and the development of this potential. Therefore, the Sidoarjo Creative Center is designed using a Behavioral Architecture approach to create an environment that supports the creativity, productivity, and collaboration of creative economy practitioners. The design process was carried out through literature reviews, precedent studies, field observations, and analyses of the site, spatial requirements, and user behavior. The Behavioral Architecture approach was implemented through the organization of spatial layouts, circulation, lighting, materials, and communal spaces designed to encourage social interaction, spatial flexibility, and users' psychological comfort. The proposed design accommodates five leading creative economy subsectors in Sidoarjo along with their supporting facilities. The application of the Social Collision, Environmental Stimulus, and spatial flexibility concepts creates an adaptive and inclusive environment that enhances collaboration and productivity. Thus, the Sidoarjo Creative Center is expected to become a sustainable hub for the development of the creative economy in Sidoarjo Regency.
