Abstract
This study0aims to determine the effect of0compensation and work motivation on0employee performance at PT PLN Icon Plus Surabaya Retail Division. This study0uses a0quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. The population in this study were all0employees of PT PLN Icon Plus Surabaya Retail Division with a sample0of 55 respondents determined using a saturated sampling technique. Data0collection was carried out0through a questionnaire with a Likert scale, while data0analysis was0carried out using multiple0linear regression0with the help of SPSS through validity tests, reliability0tests, classical assumption0tests, t tests, F0tests, and coefficients of0determination. The results showed that compensation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a significance0value of 0.016. Work motivation also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a0significance0value of <0.001. Simultaneously, compensation and work motivation had a significant effect on employee performance with a calculated F value of 131.223 and a0significance value of <0.001. The Adjusted R0Square value of 0.821 indicates that compensation and work motivation were able to explain employee performance by 82.1%. This study0shows that increasing compensation and work motivation are important factors in improving the performance of employees of PT PLN Icon Plus Surabaya Retail Division.
