Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has driven digital transformation across various sectors, including the tourism industry, which increasingly requires efficient, structured, and easily accessible booking systems. At PT Imersa Solusi Teknologi, the villa booking process has largely been conducted manually through social media, resulting in difficulties for prospective tenants to obtain complete information and make reservations efficiently. This situation formed the background for the Field Work Practice (PKL) activity, which aimed to design and develop a web-based villa booking system. The system is designed to be responsive, informative, and user-friendly for three main actors: customers, villa owners, and administrators, thus replacing manual methods with a more effective and efficient digital solution. The methods used in developing this system included system requirements analysis involving relevant stakeholders, system design using use case diagrams and activity diagrams to map process flows, and database design through Conceptual Data Model (CDM) and Physical Data Model (PDM) to ensure structured and accessible data storage. During the implementation stage, React JS was used as the frontend to build a responsive and interactive user interface, while Express JS was used as the backend to manage application logic and database communication. Additionally, UI/UX design and wireframe creation were carried out to ensure ease of use and an attractive appearance for users. The final result of this project is a web-based villa booking system that has passed functionality testing and is ready for use by PT Imersa Solusi Teknologi. The system provides key features such as user registration and login, villa data management by owners, villa search and booking by customers, as well as data and transaction management by administrators. With this system, it is expected that booking process efficiency will increase, information management will be easier for users and managers, and the company will benefit from a practical solution in facing the digital era. Furthermore, this PKL activity provided valuable experience for students in applying their academic knowledge to a professional work environment, enhancing teamwork, communication, and real-world problem-solving skills in the industry.
