Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of good governance principles by the Semambung village government in managing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs from local businesses. This study employed a qualitative method using a case study approach, involving fourteen informants from various stakeholders, including business entities, the village government, and the village community. Data collection techniques included interviews, documentation, and field observation. Data analysis techniques utilized source triangulation and methodological triangulation to test the validity of the data. The data analysis software used in this study was NVivo 15. The study found that the Semambung village government has not yet implemented good governance, as it remains insufficiently transparent in budget management and the village officials lack responsiveness to criticism and suggestions from the community. The Semambung village government’s accountability is limited to ensuring the completion of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs without conducting any evaluation for the subsequent period. The efforts made by the Semambung village government in managing its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program include planning—carried out through consultations with specific stakeholders before the program begins—and implementation, which is based on the outcomes of those consultations. The results of this study are expected to assist the Semambung Village Government in evaluating the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs of local businesses in order to improve the management of aid that has been distributed to the community. Keywords: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Good Governance, Business Entities, Village Governments, Communities
