Abstract

ABSTRACT CO-PRODUCTION IN THE SINAU BARENG PROGRAM IN TENGGILIS MEJOYO SUB-DISTRICT, SURABAYA CITY Co-production is an approach related to the involvement of communities or citizens in the creation of public services. In the context of the Sinau Bareng program in Tenggilis Mejoyo Sub-district, Surabaya City, the level of community involvement as facilitators who act as the main actors remains low and is not proportional to the number of students. This study aims to describe the forms of community involvement and the social changes experienced by both the community and students through a co-production approach, using the theory of Social Innovation Pathways and Drawing the Link to Co-Production proposed by Ayob (2016). The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study indicate that the community can be involved in program development through collaboration, implementation of new ideas, and empowerment. In addition, both community members who act as facilitators and those as students experience impacts from the program, such as improved social welfare, individual economic benefits, and enhanced educational capabilities among students. Furthermore, several actors are involved in cross-sector collaboration, including the Surabaya City Education Office, the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism of Surabaya City, the Tenggilis Mejoyo Sub-district Government, the RW 06 community organization, and facilitators. Keywords: Co-Production, Innovation, Participation.
