Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of safety leadership, safety culture and safety behavior on safety performance at PT. XYZ. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires offline to 72 employees in the plant area of PT. XYZ. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the help of Smart-PLS 3.0 software. The results of the study indicate that safety leadership has a positive but insignificant effect on safety culture because it does not meet the criteria for p-value <0,05. Safety leadership, safety culture and safety behavior have a positive and significant effect on safety performance because they meet the criteria for p-value <0,05. Safety leadership has a positive but insignificant effect on safety performance through safety behavior because it does not meet the criteria for p-value <0.05. Safety culture has a positive and significant effect on safety performance through safety behavior because it meets the criteria for p-value <0,05. The results of the study indicate that safety culture has the greatest influence on safety performance compared to safety leadership, indicated by the total effect equation Y = 0,214X1 + 0,586X2. Therefore, recommendations for improvement are focused on increasing the implementation of safety culture, especially in following up on safety inspection results, stopping work in unsafe conditions, and providing a work environment that supports safety.
