Abstract
Workshops as businesses in the vehicle maintenance and repair sector play a vital role in supporting the public’s mobility needs. Based on interviews and observations, operational management at Alesha Motor Speed is still conducted manually, ranging from recording transactions, managing inventory, to preparing financial reports. This situation results in inefficient work processes and the potential for data errors. Additionally, the auto repair shop lacks a structured booking and queueing system, forcing customers to visit in person. This leads to long queues and a decline in customer satisfaction. To address these issues, this thesis aims to develop a web-based workshop management information system to enhance operational effectiveness and service quality at Alesha Motor Speed Workshop using the Laravel framework. The system development method employed is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which consists of the following stages: requirement planning, RAD design workshop, and implementation. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews, while system design utilized the Unified Modeling Language (UML). System testing was performed using the Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methods. The results of Black Box Testing indicated that all system functions operated in accordance with the specified requirements. Meanwhile, the UAT results yielded a score of 89.7%, indicating that the system falls into the “very good” category and is acceptable to users. Thus, the workshop management information system developed is capable of managing data in an integrated manner, improving operational efficiency, minimizing recording errors, and providing more transparent and optimal services to customers.
