Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of economic growth, Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), average years of schooling (RLS), and the Human Development Index (HDI) on the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) in the DKI Jakarta region. The method used is panel data regression covering five administrative cities over the period 2015–2024, utilizing EViews 12 statistical software. The results show that economic growth has a negative and insignificant effect on LFPR, while average years of schooling has a positive but insignificant effect. Meanwhile, the Provincial Minimum Wage has a negative and significant effect on LFPR, and the Human Development Index has a positive and significant effect on LFPR. Simultaneously, all independent variables have a significant effect on LFPR. These findings indicate that improvements in human resource quality play a more important role in encouraging labor force participation than economic growth and formal education alone.
