Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) and the work environment on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable in Minohorejo Village, Tuban Regency. The study sample consisted of 200 respondents obtained through purposive sampling and analyzed using the SmartPLS-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results showed that the UMR had a positive coefficient of 0.155, with a t-statistic of 2.261>1.96, thus having a significant positive effect on employee performance. The work environment has a positive coefficient of 0.197, with a t-statistic of 2.707>1.96, thus having a significant positive effect on employee performance. The minimum wage on job satisfaction also has a positive coefficient of 0.377, with a t-statistic of 5.085>1.96, thus having a positive and significant effect. The work environment on satisfaction also has a positive coefficient of 0.408, with a t-statistic of 5.347>1.96, thus having a positive and significant effect. Job satisfaction has a positive coefficient of 0.527, with a t-statistic of 6.207>1.96, thus having a significant positive effect on employee performance. The minimum wage on employee performance through job satisfaction has a coefficient of 0.189, with a t-statistic of 4.196>1.96, thus job satisfaction is proven to significantly mediate the effect of the minimum wage on employee performance. The work environment's effect on performance through job satisfaction has a positive coefficient of 0.215, with a t-statistic of 3.806>1.96, thus job satisfaction is proven to significantly mediate the influence of the work environment on employee performance. This finding suggests that improved employee performance can be achieved through the implementation of a wage system in accordance with the minimum wage (UMR) standard and the creation of a conducive work environment, with job satisfaction as a mediating factor that strengthens the relationship.
