Abstract

Social media is no longer used solely for entertainment, but has evolved into a space for information exchange and public discourse. Platform X is used by the public to obtain and disseminate information related to social and political issues, including government policies that generate public response. One account that is very vocal about socio-political issues in Indonesia is the @barengwarga account. The @barengwarga account demonstrates its participation in disseminating information to the audience regarding socio-political phenomena in Indonesia. Researchers analyzed 13 posts from the @barengwarga account that received a lot of public attention to determine ethos, pathos, and logos in accordance with Aristotle's rhetorical theory. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that the X account @barengwarga uses rhetorical strategies to influence the public regarding socio-political phenomena occurring in Indonesia. The X account @barengwarga displays elements of ethos through regular presentation of issues and dedication to the interests of society. The element of pathos is demonstrated by uploading tweets that make the public feel empathy and anxiety. Logical reasons by presenting evidence to create a chronology are part of the logos elements shown by the @barengwarga account.
