Abstract

Resilience on sandwich generation is needed to endure the condition which the person experienced. This study aim to analyze how sandwich generation resilience represented on “Home Sweet Loan” film using Roland Barthes semiotics approach. This study use descriptive qualitative method with data collected through documentation and observation, which analyzed through Barthes’s three level of meaning : denotation, connotion and myth. This study found that resilience of sandwich generation is represented through : social support, self control, optimisim, and trouble-solving. Kaluna as a character is depicted as resilient sandwich generation woman though facing an adversary such as multigenerational family problem.
