Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of salary and work environment on employee performance at BULOG Sub Divisi Regional Surabaya Utara. The background of this study stems from the importance of financial and non-financial factors in influencing employee motivation and productivity. Salary is considered a form of compensation and reward for employee contributions, while a conducive work environment is believed to create a comfortable, safe, and harmonious working atmosphere that encourages improved performance. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative, with data collection methods through questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents who are employees of BULOG Sub Divisi Regional Surabaya Utara. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26 software. The independent variables in this study were salary (X1) and work environment (X2), while the dependent variable was employee performance (Y). The results indicate that a fair salary increase and the creation of a conducive and harmonious work environment can together increase employee motivation, productivity, and performance. Therefore, BULOG management is advised to balance a fair salary system with improvements in working conditions so that organizational goals can be achieved optimally.
