Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing online shopping activity in Indonesia, particularly through Shopee, which has become one of the most popular e-commerce platforms. Amid this rapid growth, issues have emerged regarding user satisfaction, especially related to trust in services and the quality of information provided. Many users have expressed concerns about discrepancies between product descriptions and actual conditions, invalid reviews, and the lack of transaction security guarantees. Based on these issues, this study aims to analyze the influence of information quality and trust on user satisfaction with the Shopee application, both simultaneously and partially. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to active Shopee users and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The three main variables examined in this study include information quality (X1), trust (X2), and user satisfaction (Y). The results indicate that both information quality and trust have a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction. Among the two independent variables, trust is proven to be the most dominant factor influencing satisfaction levels. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 55.4% shows that the combination of the two variables can explain more than half of the variation in user satisfaction with the Shopee application. These findings highlight the importance of improving information quality and building consumer trust as key strategies to create an optimal and satisfying online shopping experience.
