Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of internship experience, soft skills, and hard skills on the work readiness of LP3I College Surabaya students. The background of this research is based on the importance of work readiness of vocational education graduates in facing the challenges of the world of work, where not only technical skills (hard skills), but also work experience and interpersonal abilities (soft skills) become crucial factors. This type of research is quantitative with an associative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 42 students from batch 2023-2025 who had participated in the internship program. The sampling technique used saturated sampling method, while the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 31. The results showed that internship experience, soft skills, and hard skills simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on work readiness. Partially, internship experience and soft skills have a positive and significant effect on work readiness, while hard skills do not show a significant effect. This finding indicates that students' work readiness is more determined by real-world experience and non-technical abilities than technical skills alone.
