Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on the perceived effectiveness of Event Organizers (EOs) in organizing the Sounds of Downtown Vol. 6 music festival held in Surabaya in 2024. The KPIs examined include four main indicators: visitor attendance, visitor satisfaction, media exposure, and visitor loyalty. The research is grounded in the strategic role of EOs in shaping audience experience and enhancing the competitiveness of event-based tourism destinations. Utilizing a quantitative associative approach and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 software, data were collected from 130 respondents who physically attended the festival. Thefindings reveal that all KPI indicators have a positive and significant influence on the perceived effectiveness of EOs. These results emphasize that visitor engagement, media exposure, service satisfaction, and audience loyalty are critical components in forming perceptions of successful event implementation. This study offers theoretical contributions to the development of EO evaluation models within the tourism and creative economy sectors and provides strategic recommendations for EO practitioners and local tourism stakeholders to manage music festivals that prioritize visitor experience and destination sustainability.
