Abstract

The research discusses the design and development of a web-based e-commerce information system for PT. Muda Jaya Export using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology . The company faces challenges in managing transactions, inventory, and orders, which are currently handled manually using Microsoft Excel and WhatsApp. This often leads to data inconsistencies and delays in processes. The system is designed to integrate sales, pre-order management, safety stock calculations, reorder point computations, and payment gateway integration into a centralized platform. Key features include online product ordering, pre-order management, safety stock and reorder point calculations, and secure transactions facilitated by the Midtrans payment gateway. The system was developed using React.js , Express.js , and PostgreSQL . Testing conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) demonstrated that the developed system effectively helps the company manage sales and inventory more structurally and accurately.
