Abstract
In a company, human resources have an important role to achieve the goals that have been set. The human resources owned must be managed properly so that they can keep up with existing developments and changes. Without good management, companies will face problems that can hinder the achievement of goals. Properly managed human resources will be able to have an impact on improving their performance. This study aims to determine the influence of career development and employee engagement on employee performance through job satisfaction. This study uses a non-probability sampling technique with a saturated sampling method, where all members of the population are used as a research sample of 87 employees. Primary data was taken from the distribution of questionnaires containing statements and measurements using a likert scale of 1-5 and secondary data was taken from internal company information. The data will be tested using SmartPLS software for validity tests, reliability tests, and hypothesis tests. This research proves that career development and employee engagement have a positive and significant effect on employee performance and job satisfaction can play a mediating role between these relationships. Employees who get clear career development, have a sense of attachment and satisfaction with the company or their job will make their performance improve.
