Abstract
Sepuluh Nopember Museum is one of the historical places in Surabaya that holds the value of the struggle and heroism of Surabaya youth in the battle of November 10, 1945. The museum holds a variety of memories and memories in the form of a collection of historical relics. However, this museum does not yet have an official website and the limited information and digital promotion make this museum less widely known by the public. Therefore, a website is needed as a promotional media and information tool that also educates the public, especially the younger generation of Indonesia. Based on the results of the questionnaire, 100% of 73 respondents agreed to create a UI/UX design for the Sepuluh November Museum website as a promotional media and educational tool. The approach taken in this design is to use a design thinking framework. Design thinking includes empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages with the method used is a mixed method, namely qualitative and quantitative methods which include interviews, observations, questionnaires, and pre-existing literature. The results obtained from this design are prototype UI/UX website of Museum Sepuluh November which includes information from the museum's operational schedule, heritage collections in the form of digital galleries, a history of the battle of November 10, 1945 that educates, and so on. The design concept used in this design uses modern minimalist design with semi-formal language that is polite but seems relaxed and informative. The UI/UX design of the Sepuluh November Museum website aims to make the website a promotional medium, educational tool, and improve the museum's identity, while turning online visitors into direct visitors to the museum. Designing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the Sepuluh Nopember Museum website is an effective step in increasing user interaction and public interest especially the younger generation, in the history of the nation's struggle that educates.
