Abstract
The proliferation of popular culture through digital media has increased the demand for modern art. Trends on social media platforms are often considered more relevant than traditional art forms, which may be considered outdated. To address this challenge, Sanggar is needed as a forum for activities that support the development of arts and culture, and that educate and inspire teenagers' interest. For example, dance studios in Surabaya create dances to be performed at regional festivals and competitions to demonstrate the diversity and dynamism of dance, one of which is Sanggar XTD Official Surabaya. The main factors for the existence of the studio are the mismatch between its vision and mission and its implementation, as well as the lack of public awareness of its existence. In light of the aforementioned issues, the researcher compiled a rebranding design for Sanggar X Talent Dance Official Surabaya to attract teenagers' interest in traditional dance. The purpose of rebranding is to develop a more professional and conceptualized image of the studio. This is achieved by presenting the studio's image through design elements and communication strategies on social media (Instagram) that align with the tastes and expectations of the younger generation, encouraging them to participate in dance. The research method used is a mixed-methods approach based on descriptive analysis. Primary data is collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires, while secondary data is collected through literature studies. All collected data will be analyzed to form a data synthesis. Design concepts such as keywords, verbal concepts, visual concepts, and media concepts are important aspects to consider in the design process. Therefore, Sanggar XTD Official Surabaya's rebranding strategy is expected to play an effective role in creating visual identities, such as logos and a Graphic Standard Manual (GSM), as well as promotional and other supporting media that present the studio with modern designs while maintaining traditional values.
