Abstract
Gunung Anyar Mangrove Botanical Garden is the first and only Thematic Mangrove Botanical Garden in Indonesia with a total land area of 34 hectares. Gunung Anyar Mangrove Botanical Garden offers views of the mangrove forest, jogging trails, a monitoring tower, boat docks and picnic areas. Despite its great tourism potential, visitation is still relatively low and there are shortcomings in facilities and services. Data shows the destruction of mangrove ecosystems in Indonesia and the need for more attention to management and promotion of this destination. Several Google reviews cite deficiencies in infrastructure and management that affect visitor satisfaction. This study aims to describe visitor perceptions of the Mangrove Botanical Garden ecotourism service as an ecotourism area, analyze the development factors of the Mangrove Botanical Garden ecotourism area with the Pentahelix approach, and find efforts to develop the Mangrove Botanical Garden ecotourism area based on visitor perceptions and pentahelix stakeholder perspectives. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. This analysis includes organizing, simplifying, and synthesizing data to identify patterns and main themes, and formulate working hypotheses. The results obtained overall, the Gunung Anyar Surabaya Mangrove Botanical Garden shows positive developments in service efforts, environmental conservation, and ecotourism development. This research has planned strategic steps to improve the attractiveness and quality of services, which are expected to have a positive impact on both visitors and the surrounding environment.
