Abstract

The increasing number of pet owners directly drives the rising demand for pet needs. In today's technological era, pet owners can order various pet products online, including pet care services. However, online booking for pet care services is currently less popular compared to pet food needs. This situation limits pet owners' access to quickly find and book services that meet their needs and budget. This research involves the design and development of a web-based emarketplace application specifically for providing pet care services. The web-based application is developed using the 5 stages of the Waterfall method. The system architecture design uses Unified Modeling Language (UML). Implementation is carried out using MERN Stack technology in accordance with the designed specifications. Testing is conducted using Blackbox testing to ensure functional requirements are met, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm nonfunctional system requirements. The results of the Blackbox testing show that all tested aspects are valid and meet expectations. The UAT results, concerning design, usability, and efficiency from the perspective of end-users, show an average percentage score of 94.4%. This web-based application is expected to facilitate the booking and management of pet care services for both service providers and pet owners.
