Abstract
This research aims to examine the interest in a career as an accounting educator assessed from the Factors Influencing Teaching-Choice (FIT-Choice) scale among undergraduate students in the Accounting study program at the Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur. This research is quantitative research using multiple linear regression analysis techniques with a sample of 74 students. The results of this research show that only 3 of the 11 variables contained in the Factors Affecting Teaching-Choice (FIT-Choice) scale influence students' interest in choosing a career as an accounting educator. The variables contained in the Factors Influencing Teaching-Choice (FIT-Choice) scale in this research are Perceived Teaching Ability, Intrinsic Career Value, Job Security, Time for Family, Social Value, Learning Experience, Social Influence, Perceptions of Skills Needed, Perceived Salary, Perceived Social Status, and Negative Social Influence.
