Abstract

The current crisis is the boycott of products affiliated with Israel. Social media has become the main stage for the BDS movement against Israel which has spread widely through platforms such as X, Facebook and Instagram. The impact of this situation was felt by the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) fast food restaurant, during the mass boycott of KFC Mojokerto products, one of which was affected by a decline in visitors and sales. The aim of this research is to describe the management crisis of KFC Mojokerto in the face of the boycott of Israeli-affiliated products. The results of this research show that the crisis management carried out by KFC. The first crisis response carried out by KFC, KFC distributed humanitarian funds by donating funds amounting to 1.5 billion rupiah incollaboration with PMI (Indonesian Red Cross) to help victims in Palestine. Second, KFC Mojokerto optimized the implementation of 3 pillars, where before the crisis there was not much focus on these 3 pillars, namely (Excellent Products, Excellent Service, Excellent Assets) after the boycott issue, the management team innovated and improved these 3 pillars with more focus on (Products). very good, very good people, very good assets) operational standards to provide the best service in dealing with boycott issues. Third, prioritizing and using local domestic products for the entire production process is one of important strategies implemented by KFC Mojokerto, and this has been done long before the crisis. Fourth, develop a marketing strategy, namely by carrying out promotions before the crisis boycott. KFC Mojokerto only has the Jagoan Puas and Super Puas packages. Then after the boycott issue, the marketing team developed a new package called the Bounceback Package. The aim of this package is to attract consumers and encourage them to return to KFC Mojokerto.
