Abstract
This study aims to evaluate and test the mediating role of ROE in the relationship between inflation and DER on stock prices. Purposive sampling is used in conjunction with a quantitative methodology in this investigation. There are 45 companies in total sampled from the research population, which consists of 25 infrastructure subsector construction companies registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2018 and 2022. Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis is performed with the aid of SmartPLS 3.0 software. From this study, seven key conclusions can be made, including: Inflation has no effect on ROE, DER has an affects on ROE, stock prices are not affected by inflation and DER, ROE affects stock prices, ROE does not sufficiently mediate the relationship between inflation and stock prices, and ROE sufficiently mediates the relationship between the DER and stock prices.
