Abstract
In preparing future plans, adolescents need knowledge and information, one of which starts from preparing to choose the right major in college. From the results of the questionnaire, data obtained from adolescents who still do not understand about the DKV major. Therefore, it is necessary to have educational media that discusses information about DKV majors in depth so that adolescents have the provision to be better prepared for college and avoid the wrong majors. The method used in this design is a qualitative descriptive data analysis method through interview data, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), observation, questionnaires and literature studies which leads to the keyword “Exploring DKV with the present” in a contemporary form starting from visual, verbal and media concepts. This visual and design includes simple illustrations, color selection, use of layout, appropriate typography and language that can convey information or messages clearly and not formally, namely with contemporary language or slang. In this illustration contains illustrations and some photos that match the author's topic such as photos of nirmana tasks, drawing shapes etc. which are not illustrated and inserted several comic strips in the form of jokes / entertainment about DKV. This illustration book contains information about the definition of DKV Study Program, what activities or tasks DKV students do, introduction to DKV courses and how the process works, the role of DKV in various fields, interesting and unique things from DKV Study Program, introduction to professions in the DKV field, tips for preparing teenagers to be ready to enter the DKV world, and a brief understanding of the importance of realizing interests and talents.
