Abstract
One of the government's efforts to improve the village economy is the issuance of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages which recommends that villages establish Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). BUMDes is an economic institution established by the village government in order to improve the economy of village communities and build village independence based on village needs and potential with the aim of increasing Village Original Income (PADes). This research aims to analyze and describe the strategies implemented by BUMDes Gajah Mada in increasing PADes in Kebontungul Village, Gondang District, Mojokerto Regency. The focus of this research is the BUMDes strategy using strategic management stages which include strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interview techniques, documentation and direct observation in the field. The research results show that the strategy implemented by BUMDes Gajah Mada has proven successful in increasing PADes and achieving the targets that have been set. At the stategy formulation and strategy evaluation stages it has been implemented well. Meanwhile, the strategy implementation stage is quite good, but the policies for motivating employees are still less effective. Keywords: Strategy, Village Original Income, BUMDes, Village
