Abstract
Lamongan Regency is one of the priority tourist destination areas (DTW). Lamongan Regency has natural potential in the form of the sea, limestone hills, fertile land and is also supported by culture in the form of dance, food, cultural activities and others. In accordance with the vision of the Lamongan Regency government as stated in the RPJMD, namely realizing regional economic independence through optimizing the potential of the region's leading sector, namely tourism. In the tourism sector there is cultural potential which is now increasingly fading due to globalization. For this reason, a building is needed with a cultural development as well as a recreational function that has a cultural context to attract visitors to Lamongan Regency. Therefore, Omah Budaya Lamongan is proposed as a place of cultural preservation that holds historical meaning, memories and reminiscences related to the culture of Lamongan Regency. This design takes the theme of Lamongan cultural locality. The Cultural Contextual Approach is the design approach applied to Omah Budaya Lamongan to highlight local arts and culture. Apart from that, the symbolism method is used to get an appearance that represents the local culture of Lamongan. So by applying Lamongan cultural elements to buildings it will make it easier for people to understand cultural information from the cultural center.
