Abstract

This research discusses the economic diplomacy strategy between Indonesia and Mexico in promoting the trade, tourism and investment (TTI) sector during the 2020-2023 period. The main focus of Indonesia's economic diplomacy is improving market access, economic resilience and diplomatic infrastructure through the TTI sector. Tourism, as one of the leading sectors, is expected to make a significant contribution to the Indonesian economy. The similarities in cultural richness between Indonesia and Mexico are an important factor in attracting foreign tourists and strengthening bilateral relations. This research analyzes the implementation of economic diplomacy consisting of commercial, trade and financial diplomacy. The commercial diplomacy strategy is carried out through various promotional activities, such as Expo Indonesia en Mexico (EIM) and Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), which are the main platforms for introducing products, facilitating business matching, and building business networks between the two countries. Trade diplomacy focuses on negotiations and trade transactions, while financial diplomacy aims to strengthen economic relations through various memorandums of understanding and participation in global economic forums such as the G20. Through these various concrete efforts, Indonesia is trying to increase financial stability and expand the global market for MSMEs. Keywords: Indonesian Economic Diplomacy, Mexico, Trade, Tourism, Investment, TTI.
