Abstract

The development of digital technology drives the transformation of financial services in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises sector, one of which is thru the Livin' Merchant application. However, the adoption of technology by MSME actors is still influenced by various factors. Therefore, this study uses the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT 2) model, modified by adding the variables Perceived Security, Perceived Risk, Institution Trust, and Technology Trust, to analyze the factors influencing the adoption of Livin' Merchant among MSME actors in Surabaya Raya. This research aims to analyze the factors affecting Behavioral Intention and Use Behavior in the use of Livin' Merchant. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 521 MSME actors who are Livin' Merchant users in the Greater Surabaya area and employs SEM-PLS. The research results show that Hedonic Motivation, Perceived Risk, and Institution Trust have a positive and significant effect on Behavioral Intention. Facilitating Conditions, Habit, and Behavioral Intention have a positive and significant effect on Use Behavior, while Perceived Security has a negative and significant effect on Use Behavior. The research model is able to explain 51.9% of the variation in Behavioral Intention and 37.9% of the variation in Use Behavior. In addition, age, gender, and income were found to moderate several inter-variable relationships. The research findings indicate that usage habits, facility support, and institutional trust play a crucial role in the adoption of Livin' Merchant among MSME actors.
