Abstract
The reason of this study iis analyzing the effects of remuneration and workload on employee performance, wiith job satisfaction as a mediating variable, at PT Harta Mulia, located in Blitar Regency. This study employs a quantitative approach and a saturation sampling technique, with a sample size of 45 employees. Data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using a partial least squares structural equation model (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that remuneration has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both directly and through job satisfaction. Conversely, workload has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, both directly and through job satisfaction. The variables of remuneration and workload explain (69.2)% of job satisfaction, while remuneration, workload, and job satisfaction explain (80.9)% of employee performance. The research results indicate that remuneration, workload, and job satisfaction play a significant role in influencing employee performance in the coffee processing industry. The findings indicate that employee performance is influenced by the balance between the amount of salary received and the level of demands of the tasks to be completed. Therefore, managing compensation, workload, and job satisfaction is crucial to maintaining stable employee performance in the coffee processing industry, which is characterized by a high workload.
