Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the extent to which Work Discipline and Compensation contribute to the performance of teachers at SD Islam Al Azhar 35 Surabaya, with Motivation acting as an intervening variable. A quantitative approach was employed, and data were analyzed using Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) software, with all 40 teachers selected as respondents through a saturated sampling technique. The statistical tests included validity, reliability, R Square, and hypothesis testing. The findings show that Work Discipline and Compensation have a positive and significant partial effect on performance; moreover, Work Discipline significantly influences performance through Motivation, while Compensation does not have a significant effect on performance through Motivation.
