Abstract
Technological developments demand more efficient and transparent public services, prompting the government to shift from manual to digital systems, one example of which is the Digital Population Identity Application (IKD), launched to simplify population administration. Although downloaded by millions of citizens, the application still faces challenges such as bugs, confusing interface design, limited internet access in remote areas, and low digital literacy. Therefore, research is needed to identify factors influencing application acceptance. This thesis aims to analyze the factors influencing user acceptance of the Digital Population Identity (IKD) application using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The variables employed include Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions as independent variables, with Use Behavior as the dependent variable. The research applied a quantitative approach involving 408 respondents, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to citizens who had used the IKD application. A total of four hypotheses were tested in this study. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, and Social Influence have a positive and significant effect on Use Behavior, while Facilitating Conditions do not show a significant effect On Use Behavior.
