Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasingly tight business competition, companies are required to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in order to maintain their existence. One crucial aspect to achieve this goal is through optimal management of human resources. One of the main aspects of human resource management is employee job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the influence of workload and work discipline on employee job satisfaction in the operational department at PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya. This research method uses a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 150 respondents selected using proportional random sampling with Slovin's formula and a margin of error of 5%. The analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the aid of SmartPLS 4.0 software. From the research results, it was concluded that: (1) Workload has a negative impact on job satisfaction of employees in the operational department at PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya. (2) Work discipline has a positive impact on job satisfaction of employees in the operational department at PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya.
