Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance (GCG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on financial performance, which is also tested for its weak and strong influence with moderation from the gender diversity of the managerial board. This research uses a quantitative method with an explanatory descriptive approach that utilizes purposive sampling techniques. Selection of 94 populations obtained 24 samples with a total of 72 observations of basic material sector companies for the period 2021-2023. This study adopts GCG and CSR as independent variables that affect financial performance as an independent variable, along with the influence of moderating variables, namely gender diversity. This research approach technique is a combination of panel data methods and moderated regression analysis (mra) tests utilizing STATA 17 software. The results of the analysis show that GCG and CSR cannot affect financial performance in basic material companies, as well as the moderating effect of gender diversity does not show a significant effect.
